Should you use a registry cleaner?  There are definitely some situations where a registry cleaner can solve a lot of common computer problems.  For example, the best way to fix a slow computer is to first clean out the registry of all the obsolete and temporary registry files.

The easiest way to do a registry clean up is to run a registry cleaner.  There’s no way that you could remove all the unnecessary files on your own manually.  Even if you knew exactly where to look then it would take days of constant work in order to find and remove all the entries.

Not to mention you might remove something important.  Messing with the registry is a good way to cause your computer to not work at all.
