One of the biggest news stories time and again recently is that of prescription drugs and celebrities.  The issue of celebrities taking prescribed drugs begs several questions worth looking at.  First of all, are their lives so empty and meaningless that they need to take prescription drugs to get through it.  It definitely reiterates the point that money cannot buy you happiness.  Perhaps celebrities are taking prescription drugs as the result of all of the plastic surgery that they’re having to make themselves look younger and appeal more to a younger crowd of people.  Perhaps, prescribed drugs have taken off in recent years due to this fact.  Has anyone even bothered to look at the correlation between prescribed drug use and instances of plastic surgery?  I bet there would be some sort of relationship between the two.  Secondly, perhaps prescribed drug abuse is occurring because most celebrities have a poor self image of themselves and take drugs to dull the pain.
