I’m the mother of two beautiful daughter, ages two and four. I love taking them on play dates with my friends, because it gives all of us the chance to get out of the house and be around other people. My daughter belongs to a pre-school that invites parents to come in occasionally and do craft projects with the children. When it was my turn, I wracked my brain trying to think of what I could do with this age group that would be fun and not too difficult. Last month I joined a group of new mothers. The idea is that the new mum’s meet on a weekly basis and discuss their experiences, problems etc. We take it in turns to send out invitations for the meeting and last week it was my turn. I thought that I might send out individual handmade invitations to each of the mum’s as I have been practising Card Making for quite a few year years now. There was a really high turnout for the meeting and many people said that it was because of the lovely handmade invitations which I sent out. We all had a wonderful morning together and everyone at the meeting wanted to learn how they could make some handmade cards.
