When it comes to vehicle safety, having some tire sense can REALLY go a long way. Would you believe there is a very small percentage of people who actually check their tires in the morning before going to work.  I know that you’re thinking right now- "what’s the big deal?" but it CAN be a big deal if you later encounter a problem due to a flat tire or a blowout.  Tires play an essential role in vehicle safety.  Think about it  Your vehicle would be inoperable if it did not have tires!  Imagine the type of damage that could occur (and has in the past) if you were travelling down a major highway at 75 miles per hour and suddenly experienced a tire blowout.  More than likely, you’d have a good chance of flipping your vehicle several times due to your efforts to overcorrect the sudden impact of this.  Tire blowouts usually occur when someone has tires that have little to no tread left.  You can tell how much treadware a tire has by doing the "penny test" or by simply noticing that there is no tread on your tires due to how smooth the tire looks.
