Do Neighborhood Motor Scooter Showrooms Overcharge?

I’ve been thinking of buying a motor scooter recently, and I’ve explored my options, including stopping by many local petrol scooter dealerships.

The cost of these simple little machines seems to vary dramatically depending on the size and model, which is to be expected taking into consideration the broad range of sizes available. The difference between large and small scooters is greater than the difference between a Escalade and a Swift.

Also like shopping for a car, values of motor scooters seem to fall off quickly after leaving the lot. What makes this dramatic is that most scooters don’t receive the same amount of use as a car, especially the smaller moped models.

What that means to you is that it is relatively easy to locate motors scooters online through a third-party dealer or broker. Considering this, I have to wonder if scooters from the local showroom are fairly priced or if that’s responsible for why these online brokers are becoming more and more popular.
