If you’re looking to be unique with the instrument you play, don’t play guitar.  The are hundreds of different kinds of instruments, most of which have an awesome sound that is just dying to be heard.  Let’s face it, all we really hear these days are acoustic guitars and regular guitars.  Not to mention the rock and roll sound and set up.  What if you decided to learn the ukelele or another odd instrument instead?  That would make you a bit more valuable of an asset that people would be more curious to hear, because it’s different.  You might even get gigs playing on the albums of your favorite bands.  Who knows? Give it a shot.
