You know, I've been involved in sports a long time, and i have to admit that other than jamming my thumb on occasion with a basketball or football, I had never given an injury to my thumb a second thought. I wish I had. Now I'm having to walk around the office with a thumb spica because I got a little too anxious in a friendly batch of handball and sprained my the joint at the base of my thumb pretty badly. One thing is for sure, I surely can appreciate just how important a thumb really is for the simple little things!
